Welcome to Taylor

Taylor is a little village along the Trempealeau River, nestled in the rolling hills of Jackson County, Wisconsin. With a population of 481, this small community is full of commerce and agriculture which makes it a thriving community. There are several organizations within the community which host events and activities for all ages throughout the year.

Attractions

Taylor offers several attractions and activities for every age. The area is rich with incredible sources of natural beauty, and we are certain that it will leave you feeling inspired and refreshed. There are two beautiful parks for young and old to enjoy. River Park has a walking trail along the beautiful Trempealeau River. This primitive park provides the nature lover a chance to enjoy an abundance of wildlife, as well as seasonal scenic views. Many people use this park for trout fishing. Four ball parks in the village give people of any age the chance to watch baseball, softball, and tee ball games being played throughout the summer.

There are hundreds of miles of snowmobiling trails in the area which connect to Taylor. Food, beverages, and fuel is available for those winter enthusiasts. The Taylor area is also an excellent place for whitetail deer hunting. It’s only miles from the deer hunting capitol of Wisconsin. There are many registration stations available. Taylor is also home to an Amish community, many Amish vendors line the back roads with baked goods, produce, and other Amish made products. Nearby is the Ho-Chunk Gaming Casino, open 24 hours a day in Black River Falls. If you are looking for a little rest and relaxation try the Homestead Country Retreat, located in the Taylor area countryside.

Have an urge to taste nature? Try the Tenba Ridge Winery located south of nearby Blair. They produce Alsatian style wines in small batches.
