COMMUNITY CENTER:

The Village of Taylor Community Center is available for rent year round. The center has a full kitchen, furnished with tables and chairs and restrooms. Reservations are required by calling the Village of Taylor at 715-662-3404.  Rates: $125.00/day ($25 deposit returned if left in good condition) Park shelter rentals are available during the summer months.

Rentals are subject to change with Covid.

GARBAGE & RECYCLING:

The Village of Taylor has a contract with Tri City Sanitation for our refuse collection. All residents are required to purchase specially marked BLUE BAGS.  •Curbside pick up is every Friday by 8 a.m., have bags by the curb by 7 a.m. •Garbage bags can be purchased at: Village Office •33 gallon bags are $2.60 each or a roll of 10 for $26.00 •16 gallon bags are $1.85 each. 

Recycling: All residents are encouraged to recycle. ALL ITEMS MUST BE COMPLETELY CLEANED, FLATTENED & SEPARATED. Recycling may be dropped off at recycling center on every other Saturday from 9-12. (located behind old high school) There is also a bin for bagged aluminum cans next to recycling center available at all times.

BRUSH/SNOW REMOVAL:

Leaves bagged in garbage bags will be picked up.  Prunings must be no longer than 4-6 ft and stacked neatly to be picked up. No one is allowed at Village burn pile without permission.  Trespassers will be cited.  Burning of clean paper products is allowed on Saturdays ONLY! Do NOT blow grass clippings into streets.

Sidewalks must be cleared of snow and ice within 24 hours.  Village is not responsible for damage to property left in streets/alleys or any public right of ways.  Residents are not to push or blow snow into the street or on other’s properties.   Do not follow plows closely!

WATER/SEWER:

 Village of Taylor – Water/Sewer P.O. Box 130 Taylor, WI 54659 Phone: 715-662-3404. The bills are mailed by the 20th of the month and are due by the 10th of the following month. Payments may be mailed, dropped off during office hours, paid online on this site, or  put in the drop box located at the North side of the building.

*Residents moving in, moving out or moving within the Village of Taylor, are asked to contact the Village of Taylor Clerk’s office promptly with phone number and/or address changes. Thank You!

PERMITS:

The Village updated its Code of Ordinances Fee schedule, before starting any kind of projects-building, dumpster, etc. make sure to stop in the village office to fill out a permit application before starting any projects and a fee ($15.00 building & $10.00 dumpster) is now required for any building and/or dumpster permit. If you are unsure, call or stop in the office.

DOG LICENSES:

 Residents of the Village of Taylor are required to purchase a Jackson County license for their dog(s) each year, per Village Ordinance. Proof of your dog’s current rabies vaccination must be provided by a Veterinarian issued “Rabies Certificate.” This information must be provided to the Village Clerk’s office each year to receive a license for your dog. Spayed/Neutered Dogs= $10.00 each, annually Non-Spayed/Non-Neutered Dogs= $20.00 each, annually Please license your dog by March 31st each year to avoid a late fee/fine.

GYM MEMBERSHIPS:

The large gym is used for walking/working out.  Park & Rec also has basketball practices there. Must be 18 or accompanied by an adult to enter.  A membership fee is required.  Please stop in the Clerk’s Office to fill out a membership and list of rules.  Memberships are required.
