The body of the sleigh was originally red, probably a dark red, except for the top panel of the front of the sleigh. As an accent, that panel, seems to have been left in natural wood with varnish finish on it.

One piece is a red-roofed bakery building with M&M’s branding, set on a snow-covered base, and includes a battery compartment for illumination (batteries not included). The other piece is an oval-shaped candy dish with a red and white striped rim and M&M’s characters. The set is primarily white and red, with green and brown accents. The base of the bakery measures approximately 6 inches long and 4 inches wide, and the entire set weighs 1 lb 9.8 oz.
